Krishna describes disciplined speech as truthful, kind and helpful words that do not needlessly disturb others, together with regular study and recitation of sacred texts.

A reflection for daily life

Honesty asks for care in how we speak. Before a difficult conversation, consider whether your words are accurate, useful and considerate. A calm tone can help a necessary truth be heard.

Today’s practice

Before one reply today, pause and ask: Is it true, helpful and kind? Then read a short passage of scripture with attention.
