Meaning · paraphrased
Krishna tells Arjuna that pleasure and distress arising through the senses come and go, like heat and cold. Knowing their temporary nature, learn to endure them with steadiness.
A reflection for daily life
A passing feeling need not decide your next action. This teaching invites patience amid life's changing conditions, so temporary discomfort does not pull you away from a responsibility worth fulfilling.
Today’s practice
When a minor frustration arises today, pause for three slow breaths. Notice its changing intensity, then choose a thoughtful response.
